Kyle Sandilands has revealed he has added to his ever-expanding property portfolio by buying on The Central Coast but not until after snubbing the controversial home Anthony Albanese bought.

Speaking with presenters Paddy Gerard and Maz Compton on Triple M Central Coast on Tuesday, Sandilands said he had bought in Copacabana, around 90 minutes north of Sydney.

That’s in addition to the $14m home he owns in upmarket Vaucluse in Sydney’s East and a $3m farmhouse he has recently begun to renovate in the city’s north west.

“We were looking [on The Central Coast] because my wife’s family, her mum, her brothers [have homes there],” Sandilands said.

“We looked at the same place the Prime Minister bought. It’s a beautiful place. But the backyard, it’s 6m of lawn and then 30m of cliff to your death and with a two-year-old I thought it wasn’t good.”

Sandilands married wife Tegan Kynaston in a $1m ceremony at famed $100m+ Sydney mansion Swifts in 2023 which Albanese attended.

The couple are parents to son Otto.

Sandilands said he remained friends with Albanese but he wouldn’t vote for him in the upcoming Federal Election.

“He asked me not to say this during the election but I’m a Liberal voter. I like Albo but I don’t like any of his policies,” Sandilands said.

The radio shock jock also said he wasn’t sure how the news he had bought on The Central Coast would be received by locals.

“We drove past a handwritten sign that said – celebrities not welcome here – and I didn’t think anything of it and then my wife said that’s for you,” he said.

When told by the Triple M presenters he wasn’t a celebrity, Sandilands said: “I feel a lot better now.”

Sandilands is said to be on a salary of $10m a year plus bonuses with KIIS FM.

In December 2023, he bought his luxury $14m Vaucluse mansion with plans to renovate.

In July of 2023, Sandilands bought a $3m castle in Glenorie in Sydney’s Hills District.

Last month it was revealed Sandilands had begun a make-over of the home.

“The renovation has started, we are renovating right now,” he told his listeners.

The median house price in Copacabana is $1.775m, according to PropTrack. So even if Sandilands has bought a relatively humble home in the coastal locale, the worth of his property portfolio has likely pushed past $20m.

In December Sandilands offloaded his Far North Queensland home for $2.55m and said at the time he was looking for a weekender closer to Sydney. Presumably, he has found it on The Central Coast.
